The schools will be provided with a new Cricut Expressions cutting machine, which we will be teaching the staff and students to use during the program, which will also teach them about the Heidelberg Project.

We are seeking committed volunteers to lead the programs at these schools. You must be available at least one day a week during school hours. Each volunteer will be scheduling individually with their chosen school, and you will receive a stipend for your participation. Originally this was a plan for 6 separate sessions, but they may be condensed to fit more than one lesson into each session.

Anyone interested in committing to this program should come to our orientation meeting on Saturday, April 5th at 11am. You will be given a free demonstration and hands-on experience using the Cricut machine, and complete the 6-part project that you will be helping the children to create during the program. Dress in preparation of getting a bit messy with art supplies. Lunch will also be served. There is no specific end time; we will be done when we are finished with our projects sometime in the afternoon.

Please respond by the end of the day on Thursday, April 3rd if you will be attending the orientation meeting. We will take the first 10 volunteers for this program. We hope you will consider being a part of this exciting initiative.

Orientation Meeting:

Saturday, April 5th, 2008
11am - ?? pm

The Heidelberg Project Office
(located in Franklin Wright Settlements)
3360 Charlevoix Suite 206
Detroit, MI 48207

Reply to:
(313) 267-1622
michelle@heidelberg.orgMichellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09602345101281279757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3884675797198794615.post-82907855077603618742008-03-25T10:38:00.000-07:002008-03-25T10:39:43.835-07:00Volunteers Needed! The HP is going to need some tour guides for the 2008 season, and we will have other volunteer opportunities coming up as well.

If you're interested in getting trained as a tour guide and/or other volunteer, please let me know your availability.

Tours are generally scheduled to start between 10am and 2pm and last for 2 hours.

Let me know if you're interested...you can also fill out our volunteer application here
email: information@heidelberg.org
fax: 313-267-1623
mail: The Heidelberg Project, P.O.
